As temperatures begin to rise again, it’s important to take extra care of yourself and those around you. Whether you’re working in schools, facilities management, construction, or simply enjoying the sunshine, staying safe during hot weather is essential.

- 💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
- 🧢 Wear a hat and lightweight, light-coloured clothing to stay cool.
- 🧴 Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen regularly and reapply every two hours.

- ⏰ Avoid strenuous activities between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm when temperatures are highest.
- 🚪 Keep buildings cool by closing blinds and curtains exposed to direct sunlight.
- 🌬️ Open windows early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are cooler.
- 🪭 Use fans or air conditioning where available to improve ventilation.
- 🚰 Take regular hydration breaks, particularly if working outdoors.

🌞 Remember
Heat can affect anyone. Staying hydrated, taking regular breaks, and looking out for others can make all the difference.
